职位描述

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Improve and build upon our automation tools for systems provisioning, monitoring, trending, and management;

2. Communicate effectively with fellow SREs and other engineering teams, and describe problems succinctly with sufficient detail that you can hand-off an ongoing problem to another team or a peer for completion;

3. During a crisis, lead the effort to triage and mitigate;

4. Manage real-time communications during outages with both technical and non- technical audiences;

5. Independently learn new technologies and master the series of operation platform so that you can provide full stack diagnostics, when necessary, to help determine the root cause of internal problems;

6. Perform periodic on-call duty as part of a global team maintaining the availability and performance of the site and APIs used by third-party services, as well as the various internal services and systems that these core interfaces depend on;

7. Strategize with fellow SREs and other engineering teams on complex problems, and make decisions and recommendations about systems improvements after analyzing possible courses of conduct;

8. Perform performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting, continual improvement and capacity planning for production, and visualized environments;

9. Administrating Web Servers, Application Servers and Databases running J2EE applications;

10. Develop policies and procedures that improve overall platform stability;

11. Design and create tools to manage the site;

12. Participate in reviews of outages in order to improve overall platform stability;

13. Build relationships with development teams and technology leaders across the company.


Requirements:

1. Over 5 years of experience operating and scaling services in a distributed, internet-scale environment;

2. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and environment;

3. Strong experience with virtualization (VMware, Kubernetes) and cloud (Azure/AWS,..etc.) technologies;

4. Solid ""script""ing skills; Experience with Shell, Python, Terraform, Go, Ruby, etc. (at least two);

5. Experience with monitoring, trending, and logging tools such as Sensu, Grafana, ELK, and WaveFront;

6. Experience in handling production outages and root cause analysis;

7. Strong crisis management leadership ability; Experience with Incident management;

8. Hands on operational experience in a high-volume and critical production service environment;

9. Effective communication skills, whether talking to individual contributors or to executive management;

10. Ultimate self-starter and smart on DevOps;

11. Strong knowledge of networking, load balancers, DNS, and TCP/IP is a plus;

12. Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills;

13. Experience creating tools for infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS) management and automation a plus;

14. Experience with complex Production SaaS, revenue critical web services environments is a strong plus;

15. Experience with setup, configuration (puppet, ansible, salt) and maintenance of DNS (BIND), LDAP, Central Logging (syslog-Ng), SNMP and Monitoring systems (e.g. Splunk, Zenoss, Sensu) and other reporting tools;

16. Experience with Unix/Linux system administration especially in RedHat Linux (CentOS) environment;

17. Experience with environment configurations at network, OS and application levels;

18. Experience with environment monitoring in a 24/7 web, application and ecommerce environments;

19. Experience working with applications built using Java / J2EE and SQL is a plus;

20. Experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, RDS, Dynamo DB) - Nice to have;

21. Demonstrate ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues;

22. Demonstrate ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts;

23. Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards relating to systems management. 24. May recommend process improvements.
