RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Supply Chain Manager reports directly to China Animal Nutrition Operations Director and functionally to the General Manager of ADM China Pet Care business.

• He/she defines the production plans and inventory levels in quantity, form and time; according to the market demand (sales forecast), to the capacity of each production unit, to the transit times to our clients, supply, production flexibility, and warehousing capacity; minimizing the operational costs and delivering high levels of customer service.

• One of the first objectives will be to create and develop the supply chain function through appropriate organization and skills.

• He/she will be responsible for the planning (Sales & Operations Planning), inventory management, warehousing, customer service and transport teams (logistics).

• He/she will also be responsible of leading the creating of the Supply Chain processes for the other China Animal Nutrition businesses in China, as in Premix, Complete Feed and Aquaculture, but not limited to them.

• To consolidate the business and market sales needs using a solid statistical base of client requirements, reviewing logistic and financial risks in the business objectives achievement.

• To elaborate the production plan, according to a flexible demand and to the manufacturing optimization and plant restrictions, efficiently delivering goods according to customers’ requirements.

• To supervise the fulfillment of the production plan in time, product and quantity, to achieve on time the established objectives.

• To organize and control products’ distribution for each warehouse or sales point (online and offline channels), to optimize delivery, planning entries and exits, as well as the transport and warehousing costs optimization.

• To verify all ingredients, raw materials, packaging and other production related materials are timely scheduled.

• To manage the 3rd Party Logistics and 3rd Party Manufacturers based on production planning, demand planning and warehousing needs, and to support the company’s business model. And keep on monitoring the efficiency to ensure the satisfied service level.

• To ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for premises, materials, equipment and personnel.

• To create efficient policy, standard operational procedure based on business reality and conduct the relevant training to ensure the accurate implementation.

   

THE SUCCESFULL APPLICANT:

Education: University Degree in Engineering. Master degree in Operations, Supply Chain is highly desirable.

 

Experience:

• Total at least 8 years’ experience on supply chain or logistics function

• 5 years’ experience in similar positions in Fast Moving Consumer Goods multinational companies in international and multicultural working environment.

• At least 5 years of experience leading/managing a team

• Fluent in English and Chinese: spoken and written.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
