Indirect Sourcing Buyer, Tianjin
Are you ready to take responsibility for ensuring our procurement tasks are carried out swiftly and efficiently? If so, you could be our new colleague in the sourcing and procurement China team. You will be responsible for some operational process execution and for monitoring other operational processes, under category strategies if applicable. Handles urgent and secure supply issues. Tactical procurement project execution of low-medium complexity projects. Collaborates with local category manager(s). Stakeholder engagement to a broad range of stakeholders throughout the organization at site/region. Frames for decisions and approvals according to internal processes.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Tactical Sourcing/Procurement – 50% of workload

1. Executes on sourcing projects in alignment with the regional category manager(s).
2. Executes on several simultaneous projects including sourcing for news suppliers, approval of new suppliers, tendering, negotiation (utilizing different negotiation tactics) and contracting, in a autonomous way
3. Develop RFI/RFP’s (Request for Information/Request for Proposal) to secure competition between suppliers

• Operational Procurement – 20% of workload

1. Monitor and supervise to secure an efficient and effective Procure-to-Pay process and follow-up on operational KPIs like lead-time, on time delivery, payment for one or several sites within the region in collaboration with CSS.

• Relationship Management – 10% of workload

1. Stakeholder management (1) at various organizational levels and throughout the region and (2) suppliers at regional level

• Supply Management – 20% of workload

1. Executes supplier performance follow-up via questionnaires to all suppliers within category responsibility
2. Contract management including extensions, renegotiations, follow-up on price regulations and bonus/discount ladders
3. Supplier onboarding (Tradeshift). Secure supplier guideline is distributed to new suppliers and responsible purchasing standards are signed
4. Handle supplier complaints with low-medium complexity responsibilities for projects in complex nature when appointed.
5. Monitoring, developing and implementing new technologies to solve technical problems with our global R&D team.
6. Providing guidance and information to Research Associates and Lab Assistants to secure fast, efficient and prioritized solving of tasks.
7. Working closely with global R&D team and local business operation team to achieve the successful launch and implementation of new enzyme product to improve productivity and profits for customers.
8. Ensuring good and close co-operation within the technical team, and with other departments in R&D and business functions.
9. Striving towards excellence in personal specialty fields.

In this position, you need to have:

• Educational background at one of the below levels a. Diploma from Business University (HD) or b. Bachelor.
• The substance is preferably within SCM, Sourcing, International Business, Economy, or Chemistry/Biochemistry/Engineering
• Combined with a minimum of 3 1-2years of experience with Indirect Sourcing & Procurement
• Fluent in English is a prerequisite. Other language skills are beneficial
