JOB SUMMARY

 

Ashley Furniture Home Store is seeking a qualified Sourcing specialist to join Store Design Team.  We are looking for highly proactive and motivated candidate with self-initiative and a strong desire to work for a premier furniture retailer. The ideal candidate values collaboration, integrity, and maintaining standards to provide our client's ultimate satisfaction with the services we provide.

 

The sourcing position will be a supporting function to the construction & interior & VM to build and manage selection standards to qualify external suppliers and apply in-depth knowledge related to cost analysis.

 

 

Job Title: Sourcing Specialist

 

Report to: Sourcing Manager

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Understand Key measures in the process of vender evaluation and selection, quality evaluation and cooperation strategy.

    

2. Have extensive knowledge related to manufacturing processes within different kind of categories, Steel, Acrylic, Light, Stone & Ceramic Natural wood, wood replacement solutions such as MDF.

 

1. Have extensive knowledge and taste related to Accessary marketing trend with different kind of categories, painting, decoration lamp, mirror, artificial flower, plaints and other decoration acc.

 

1. Search qualified suppliers and manufactories, audit

    

2. Play a leading role in problem solving with supplier's team when critical problems happened.

    

1. Collect and manage material samples

 

1. In charge of Cost perspective and analyst

 

1. In charge of the 3rd Party accessary stock following up and item lifetime management

 

1. In charge of assigned material order delivery management

    

2. Be excellent in documentation.

 

1. Share and communicate best practices between brands (construction & interior design) in order to "break down" thinking and working in reality.

 

1. In charge of sourcing task for project including but not limited on Fair, Seasonal Window & Entrance, Creative design project.

    

2. As a key project leader in any new concept innovation or development project with the material/furniture sourcing part.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

1. College degree or Bachelor degree

    

2. Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant sourcing work experience for retails

    

3. Retails/Design Industries working experience or related is plus.

 

1. Fluent English in speaking, writing

    

2. Be Good at PPT and Excel data analyst
