The Functional Safety Lead Engineer in AVL is responsible for functional safety development of powertrain system and its sub-systems on conventional, hybrid and electric vehicles (including new application in motorcycle, truck and autonomous driving vehicle). The lead safety engineer will work with cross-functional teams to design and develop products in compliance with ISO 26262. In addition, the responsibility of the functional safety lead engineer will be to develop, establish and optimize the process related to functional safety in terms of methods, templates, tool-chain.

?   Lead the system and component level safety activities on Conventional, Electrical and Hybrid vehicles (including new application in motorcycle and truck industry and autonomous driving) 

?   Support cross-functional teams on functional safety matters across the entire V-cycle

?   Develop, establish and optimize process related to functional safety

?   Perform functional safety audits and assessments internally and externally.

?   Provide on-demand tailored ISO 26262 training to customer and mentor un-experienced engineers

?   Support business development : meeting with potential customers, writing proposals, making presentations on suitable conferences???
