Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
 Lead Common category management team of 6-8 category managers and specialists
 Deliver value cost savings targets for common categories
 Ensure quality, timelines and inputs of communication between PSCM ASIA category team & stakeholders for specific sourcing activities
 Leads category management team, establishing and communicating strategic direction, providing business context, coaching and direction to enable the team to meet its performance targets.
 Contribute to the development of improved category management strategies based on inputting Asia supply market intelligence and strategy
 Help to removes roadblocks to enable the delivery of Asia emerging market sourcing value / outcomes.
 Coordinate & manage the PSCM ASIA category, quality and operation teams to ensure overall delivery of successful outcome to client
 Support and contribute to business objectives by implementing the Asia emerging market strategy for common categories
 Provides leadership and direction to 5-8 staff
 Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of 5-8 staff as required
 Represent PSCM Asia in business and PSCM leadership meetings for common categories
 Routinely communicate openly and with integrity with key business stakeholders to align direction between the PSCM ASIA and Business Unit strategy
 Drives and supports compliance to standards and policies.
 Minimizes risk and cost exposure
 Lead and manage common category mgmt team to proactively explore the wider supply and industry markets to identify Asia sourcing opportunities that BP can leverage to reduce cost and mitigate supply risk etc.
 Work with BEL to fully understand business plans and requirements, leading the execution of the category mgmt and sourcing in support of business team performance.
 Ensure common category mgmt team contribute to the global spend sectors strategy development by bringing deep Asia supply market and suppliers expertise to the global sector teams
 Continuously build confidence in the global procurement teams and key business stakeholders that Asia supply can be a key element of the commercially competitive end-to-end global value chain
 Act as the regional champion within the common categories for BP's operating procedures
 Manage the team to help ensure material, equipments & services are delivered on time, in full and at the specified quality level.
 Understands the strategic and operational objectives and requirements for materials & equipments
 Manage implementation and realization of value through effective utilization of the emerging market capabilities including PSCM ASIA and regional supplier capabilities
 Oversee supplier development for key common category suppliers to ensure supplier capabilities to meet BP requirements in most effective and efficient manner
 Manage the due diligence in mitigating external supply risk from supplier selection through to manufacturing and shipment
 Work with PSCM ASIA teams
 Deploy the amended procurement end to end processes that engage the PSCM ASIA
 Maintain awareness of quality requirements, supplier performance and lead Quality Specialist to conduct audits, inspections and corrective actions as required
 Defines and adjusts team and supplier performance KPIs / metrics to reflect business requirements and the prevailing opportunities in the marketplace.
 For PSCM ASIA common categories, pro-actively identify Asia emerging market opportunities
 Guide and manage the category team to implement and realize value from Asia emerging market through effective cooperation with global PSCM and business team
 Oversee the involvement of the PSCM Asia common category managers and specialists in the end to end sourcing process
 Manage the development of senior relationships with key strategic suppliers for common categories.
 Represent BP with strategic suppliers in Asia for common categories
 Responsible for the development, performance management and career guidance of all direct reports
Requirements:
 Bachelor Degree in PSCM, Business, or technical degree with relevant procurement experience
 above 10 years of PSCM experience, working in category management roles with experience in managing portfolio of relevant categories for specific business
 Experience in international O&G companies, preferred having worked in different cultures, especially Asia
 Strong internal and external relationship building skills and strong enrolment and engagement skills
 Strong oral & written communication skills
 Strong professional negotiating skills
 Past experience in working with and interacting with international colleagues is required
 Prefer to have deep understanding of the supply markets relevant to the specified spend sector categories either secured through working in a key company operating within that marketplace or through relevant procurement category expertise
 Demand forecasting and demand planning expertise is recommended, but not essential
 Fluent in English, fluency in Mandarin preferred
