Role and Responsibilities
To form part of an international team dedicated to developing a new plastic moulding manufacturing facility in Hefei. The technologies utilised will be Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM) and Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM).
The QHS Manager (Quality, Health & Safety) will report directly to the GM (Western) with the following areas of responsibility:
？ Quality Systems
？ Product Quality
？ Environmental, Health and Safety
During the setup phase of the business, primary focus will include:
？ Create the company Quality systems manual (with ref to other sites)
？ Creation and implementation Quality Management System
？ Creation and implementation of Health and safety system and policies
？ Gain accreditations and manage audit processes
On an ongoing basis:
？ Define and implement a structured quality framework ensuring the business is trained in agreed business process, aware of and adhering to agreed business processes and continually identify process improvements and training requirements.
？ Recruit & ensure training of Quality Assurance staff
？ Lead, motivate, manage, coach, appraise and develop quality team and individuals and translate business strategy into department objectives
？ As an active member of the Management team, the Quality Manager is primary responsible for strategic, tactical and operational quality planning.
？ Contribution to business strategy whilst ensuring all business practices are adhered to
？ Ensure development, operation & maintenance of Quality Standards to assure quality of all out going products and incoming raw materials
？ Ensure development, operation & maintenance of Quality & environmental Mgt System procedures, inclusive of those relating to UL approvals and legislation.
？ Continuous involvement with production, Logistics Engineering and Sales teams, ensuring high standards are maintained and systems challenged and developed
？ Lead and manage all internal and external audits in order to maintain all site accreditations and certifications
？ Review & report on operations, records & statistics.
？ Review and understand any failures reported by customers; manage and coordinate the investigation into the ultimate reasons for the failure; and put into place any changes to training/tools/documentation/processes required in order to minimize the risk of repeating the same or similar failure
？ Represent the company at customers, particularly in response to customer concerns.
？ To ensure safe working practices and all safety procedures are followed at all times
？ Compliance with the Environmental Policy and objectives implemented by Promens
？ Compliance with the environmental procedures and systems implemented within Promens
Qualifications and Education Requirements
？ Minimum requirement of a good degree
Work Experience
5-10 years working experience in:
？ Quality / Health and Safety Management
？ Extrusion Blow Moulding / PET
？ FMCG Industry / Food or personal care packaging
？ Experience in a western environment a bonus
Skills / additional requirements
？ English Skills (both verbal and written)
？ Detail / Results orientated
