Principle Tasks/Generic Tasks:
The Sales Manager/Director, China will be responsible for the business of the assigned accounts and channels in country Mainland China (exclude Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau). This covers the business development, customer sales strategy, revenues, margins and the budget. The responsibilities of this position include:
1. Sales strategy, including business plan and budgeting of target customer groups
2. Business development, channel and customer acquisition
3. Establishing & managing key customer and channel relationships
4. Overall order, revenue and margin responsibility for the assigned accounts & channels
5. Negotiation of Contract and agreements, including upkeep of same, with channels/customers and ADVA departments
6. Presentation and successful positioning of ADVA products and services
7. Implementing and controlling of the sales processes for the accounts / VAR’s including forecasting (MAX) updates, customer service, tracking of overdue invoices, loan planning and monthly reporting
8. Supporting the sales input to the product line management, competitors and market analysis
Non-Generic Tasks:
1.New product introduction
2. Co-ordination of new services and trials with customer
3. Assist customers with Case studies and new product / project plans for ADVA product introduction
Personal Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
1. More than 7 years experience in telecommunications sales, business development, channel management in China telecommunication sector.
2. Experience in selling complex technical solutions to Carrier and Enterprise customers
3. Experience in establishing and managing proficiently channel and partner landscape
4. Good knowledge of SDH/WDM-based telco networks and/or data-centric networks / LANs (IP, Fibre Channel)
5. Good English and Mandarin skills, both spoken and written
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
7. Strong negotiation skills and business awareness.
Success Criteria:
1. Order and Revenue (STM)
2. Interworking with teams in Gr China & SE Asia, APAC and at Headquarters
3. Bi-directional and regular communication to ADVA sales and corporate organisations
4. Development of the country according to agreed regional strategy i.e., key customers, key channels
