Responsibilities:
? Drive innovation design, handle mechanical engineering design job from conceptual stage until production start, make sure the design, should be robust each milestone and before TS.
? Review the design and provide guidance on risk design management and cost reduction.
? Provide technical leadership to figure out the root cause when the engineering problem can be found, provide a guidance to team how to solve the problem step by step.
? Provide own detail analysis through engineering study, i.e. hypothesis, using analysis tool (like FEA or mathematic equation) and study through mock up, etc.
? Work with team members to contribute to the efficient development of ME design - including prototyping, design, analysis report, validation and tooling debug notes.
? Work with other function leads to define the problem and trouble shooting.
Requirements:
? Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
? 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 1-2 years of experience managing mechanical teams.
? Well knowledge in ASTM 963 and EN71.
? Computer literate with comprehensive knowledge in 3D Modeling, i.e. Pro-E and AutoCAD
? Experience and knowledge in consumer product, toys design, plastic design and tooling.
? Familiar with well experienced in, structural beam deflection & stress calculation and analysis.
? Understand stress analysis concepts with linear, and or, non-linear FEA, such as ProMechanica, Anysys and Cosmos for plastic.
? Must be able to handle multiple projects at same time.
? Able to work with other function leads to define team interactions, boundaries and responsibilities.
? Strong technical skills while maintaining full, hands on capability.
? Good written and spoken communication in English and Chinese.
