Title: Buyer Planner
Department: China Procurement
Reporting to: China GM
Location: Futian ,China
Position Summary
As a result of new business, a new position has been created to support China based Planning & Procurement activities. A keen understanding of Procurement & Planning processes, Account Management, Pricing Processes and experience with various customer and supplier RFQ activities will be essential.
The role will suit individuals who display high energy, are flexible, enthusiastic, confident and thrive on working on their own initiative.
Key Responsibilities
? Support all business requirements in relation to Material Planning & Procurement activities for the Customer On-Site at our 3PL Partner.
? Support the Operations team performing all daily transactions in relation to hub movements receipt through to final consumption
? Coordinate information between Finance, Purchasing, Operations and the Customer.
? Weekly attendance at Customer & 3PL Partner Material Planning & Capacity meetings.
? Attend and present at Customer Operational review meetings when required.
? Ensure that we meet Customer expectations and compliance to Weekly Metrics.
? Ensure that operational procedures and processes are adhered to – from Planning through to Procurement and support the migration to MySAP ERP system
? Manage and monitor Planning & Procurement reporting systems in-line with company requirements.
? Evaluate existing processes and provide input to any proposed changes and /or new processes
? Flexibility in working hours/days will also be required
Skills
? Good strategic and analytical skills required.
? Be proactive and results driven
? Ability to work on own initiative and make sound commercial decisions
? Team player with the ability to work well in a pressurised environment to demanding objectives
? Senior negotiating skills are required with both customers and suppliers to ensure maximum benefit for Exertis SCS.
? Extensive knowledge of MRP and SAP.
? Excellent communication skills
? Good organisation skills
? Advanced knowledge of office – power point, excel and word is a requirement
Education and Experience
? Demonstrable experience of customer interaction and management of price sensitive information
? Degree preferred. Also, APICS/IIPMM or equivalent
? Min 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a multinational environment
? Previous experience of interacting with multiple levels within an organisation
? Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams
? Good strategic and analytical skills.
