Silicon Operations Engineer
Location: Shenzhen, China
Job Function
The Silicon Operations Engineer (SiOps) in China will work closely with Factory Management, Sourcing, FA, product & Test engineering, Assembly and Manufacturing CMs, silicon development and DFT/DFM teams. Responsibilities include data gathering at the CMs, system test verification, console debug, fault isolation, high volume production sustaining; performing customer return analysis while ensuring adequate test coverage and quality of the product. The SiOps Engineer needs to provide the appropriate linkage w/ the US teams. Occasional travels are required.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Sustain silicon production through product life cycles and ensure silicon quality meet target levels.
- Analyze wafer level, package level and console level data to provide problem solutions.
- Initiate DOE for problem solving.
- Support customer returns and drive silicon FAs, root cause and corrective actions.
- Work with supply chain to ensure supply/demand requirements are met.
- Execute component RMA procedures.
- Interface with vendors and customers to ensure the product delivery and quality.
- Communicate and share information and methods with cross-functional team members.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 5~10 years’ experience in the field of Semiconductors and product engineering.
- Hands-on experience on ATE/SLT testing.
- Familiar with ATE testing, SLT testing and silicon characterization methodology.
- Familiar with silicon qualification and reliability testing requirements.
- Familiar with silicon process.
- Strong communication skills and be able to influence.
- Knowledge of programming language C and Perl.
