This position will establish a formal Supplier Quality Engineering presence in Asia. The position will handle both reactive and proactive quality improvement efforts. Duties will include Corrective action follow-up, quality issue resolution, supplier audits. Supplier selection, new part/supplier qualifications, and AP QMS leadership.

Job functions：
? Qualify new suppliers and components utilizing PPAP and APQP methods. PPAP and processes reviews will be performed at supplier factories as needed.
? Perform follow-up reviews and verification of supplier corrective action requests following 8D methods.
? Visit suppliers and conduct quality system audits of their processes and quality systems to ISO9001/TS16949 requirements.
? Develop and publish quality reporting metrics for Asia Pacific suppliers.
? Work with purchasing and engineering teams in evaluating potential suppliers to determine if their quality systems and processes are capable of producing good quality parts.
? Assist engineering on new product development (NPI) projects and investigating supplier related product design problems.
? Work with suppliers to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented using 8D or similar process.
? Act as Quality Systems Leader for the Asia Pacific office.

Job qualifications：
? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or technical discipline required.
? Minimum 5 years working in quality control department preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry.
? Excellent understanding of formal quality systems such as ISO-9000 or TS16949.
? Familiar with concepts, procedures and practices within the quality field
? Familiar with a variety of quality tools e.g. Six Sigma, TQM, PPAP, 8D, SPC, MSA/GR&R, FMEA, etc.
? Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
? Must be able to read, write and speak English.
? Good understanding of process management.
? Broad manufacturing process experience.
? Fluent in Excel, Word Minitab, and ERP systems.
? Must have driver’s license and be willing to visit suppliers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
? Mechanical and electrical Inspection experience desired
? Broad commodities experience desired including PCBA, plastics, electronics components, electronics assembly, and cable assembly.
