Roles:
The software Engineer is responsible for the design activity of product software, as well as to ensure the software design meets design intent.
Responsibility:
1, Understand requirement capture (Functional Specification)
2, Work with product engineers, application engineers and other people as required to define software solutions to meet customer requirement
3, Work with product engineers to define initial and final product design verification (DV) plans for software
4, Define software language to satisfy the design intent
5, Choose and identify design tool and work with buyer to procurement design tool from supplier
6, Develop software programs to meet design intent
7, Direct manufacturing of initial prototypes and verifies components meets design intents
8, Direct DV test and verifies DV results conforming to DV plan and take corrective actions to modifies design to fully compliance
9, Define, implement, and evaluate software change in order to improve quality, manufacturing, cost and supplier change.
10, Work with Operations to resolve problems coming from production.
11, Work with Operations to continuously improve product software quality and cost base.
12, Schedule software development activity to be in line with entire program timing.
