Role
With some to close supervision, handles Quality Control activities to ensure that the product and its processes meet company's overall quality and safety requirements. Reviews vendor’s production facility and production parameters to ensure that the product will meet all requirements that are in mass production.

Ultimate Responsibility
Responsible for ensuring that the production line critical control check points set up by the factory are reasonable and that they provide the type of data and the safety factors that are needed to obtain our required Z values.
Reviews product quality & safety specifications and ensures that the vendor’s production lines and processes are set to comply with the specification requirements for each sku being produced. Performs any other Quality and Safety duties such as Container Loading Inspections and providing COC deficiency reports to QE supervisor. Helps QE with any issues as needed.

Responsibilities/ Tasks
? Coordinates product specification evaluation and any engineering issues with our China Engineering Supervisor.
? Helps QE and factory personnel to set-up critical test stations along with inline testing parameters for each production line and trains factory on what to look for and submits to supervisor for approval.
? Follows product specifications including form, fit, function, durability, size, special requirements and instructions requirements from Engineering Supervisor, as reference, to monitor in-house factory testing to ensure compliance.
? For minor issues, the QC will monitor testing of products to comply with our requirements, but will ensure that supervisor approves decisions. For major issues, the QE will report to his/her Supervisor.
? Participates with the rest of our QE/QC staff, HK PI staff and with HK Engineering setting up and holding pre-production meetings with factories.
? Reviews production setup and facilities such as:
- injection molding parameters - Screw driver calibration
- production jigs and fixtures - Metal detection calibration
- sonic welding and other machine parameters - UV light bulb usage
- by reference of pre-production meeting minutes, VPA (former Appendix A), flow charts, etc. makes sure pre-production meeting notes, as they pertain to QC responsibilities, were implemented and pre-production is set up accordingly.
? Reports major or critical engineering and or COC issues to both his/her own supervisor and to the China Engineering Supervisor.

Qualification
? One to three years of Quality Control experience in plastic, paper and plush toys
? Knowledge on tooling, injection, spraying, flow chart, work instruction, jigs & fixtures
? Able to communicate with Engineering and Production Department of factories
? Proficiency with computers and system required (i.e. Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook)
? Must be able to speak fluent Mandarin and must be able to understand some basic English
