Our company is recruiting APPAREL MERCHANDISER for the sourcing office in Shanghai.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be FULLY responsible for efficient project planning, receiving quotations, sampling and overseeing the complete order processing until the good are successfully shipped.
· Negotiating with supplier for terms of business and selection of appropriate suppliers.
· Efficient communication with different department, internally and externally
· Source suitable product from greater China for export
· Develop new program/product with suppliers
· Resolve any product and production issues
· Responsible for the information flow works between the different departments regarding item information
· Any other work related tasks assigned by the superiors
· Manage many tasks and work independently
· Provide leadership to Assistant Merchandiser and the Merchandising team
· Frequent travelling is required
REQUIREMENT:
· College Diploma or University Degree majoring in Textile and/or Garment Production
· At least 5 years or above relevant working experience (less experience may be considered for an Assistant position)
· Sound product knowledge of the specific applied category position and MUST have a big network of own suppliers within the product area(s)
· Have sound knowledge in the product production process and manufacturing
· Excellent vendor sourcing, supplier relationships and cost negotiation skills.
· Preferably working experience from a foreign owned company and is familiar with export to the European market, primarily Scandinavia.
· A team player who can also manage to work independently
· Possesses a high level of responsibility, accountability and being open-minded
· Mature, good communication skill, willing to travel and able to work under pressure
· Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
· Chinese National with excellent command of verbal and written English is required
