JOB PURPOSE (BRIEF OVERVIEW):


To implement the agreed Quality and Product Compliance strategies and policies as issued by the USA Quality Management team
To conduct factory assessment/audit, including the annual audits
To involve in product development process, monitor the product/process quality for each development phase
To assess the product development processes according to the documented company criteria
To drive for improvements with any NC findings in any product development phases, and validate the timing and efficiencies for each NC finding
To assist US team for product qualification by 3rd party/testing lab
To minimise product returns through a programme of testing of initial samples, analysis of returns and development of product quality improvement initiatives.


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


? Progress new products through the development cycle to ensure they are of a satisfactory build quality and are compliant with necessary designated and/or local market regulations;
? Work with factories and appointed test laboratories to ensure products are compliant to meet the planned launch date;
? Conduct sample review and assessment for DV, PV and MP, and drive for improvement actions;
? Work with factories for product testing plan, PFMEA, QCP and/or other defined documents, review and approve these documents;
? Monitor the DV, PV, MP processes, and provide documented assessment report for cross functional team’s review and approval;
? Drive factories for improvements for any NC findings;
? Initial field returns analysis, and drive factories for improvements;
? Draft QC spec., and guide for pre-shipment quality inspections, also monitor the pre-shipment inspection results;
? Develop pre-shipment inspection specifications with factories and inspectors to ensure that product quality is robustly maintained;
? Monitor factory quality performance, developing appropriate strategies to improve factory quality performance;
? Work with major customers to ensure that product safety / compliance reporting is in place to satisfy their requirements;
? Provide product and factory compliance data as requested to customers
? Provide technical product specifications to customers as requested
