KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Scope & Content
The Global Planning & Inventory Analyst plays a lead role in optimizing Finisar’s global planning processes. This position will facilitate planning alignment among Finisar sites, with an in-depth understanding of end-to-end demand and supply management. This position will work closely with Demand Planning, Supply Chain and Factory Planning teams and will be expected to dive deeply into system and planning activities. The primary focus of this position will be to ensure corporate and internal demand and supply plans are reviewed and executed correctly, as well as issues are proactively addressed through guidelines, early alerts and recommendations to management. The desired candidate will develop solutions to improve overall corporate planning processes & disciplines to support corporate inventory and on-time shipment goals.
Primary Responsibilities & Typical Deliverables
1 Monitor “end-to-end” system signals, working with IT to explore and solve system problems, enhance system performance, and guide factory planning teams on optimization of system attributes setting.
2 Analyze factory planning procedures, provide in-depth analysis of corporate planning and inventory positions, design solutions to eliminate plan gaps among global sites and roll out integrated Finisar planning process globally.
3 Drive internal S&OP process, balance internal demand & supply, and propose proper actions to support end-customer requirements.
4 Drive regular meetings with Demand Planning and Procurement Teams to ensure clarity of demand & supply signal, and give guidance on material supply.
5 Analyze and develop inventory management optimization approaches with integrated planning processes.
6 Support various management reporting requirements.
7 Understand & work within a vertically integrated Global Manufacturing Environment.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (include Education, Skills & Experience): Finisar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
1 8+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, inventory management, with 3+ years of experience in regional or global positions.
2 Solid understanding of both frontend & backend planning processes.
3 Solid experience and understanding of APS / Oracle attribute settings and logic.
4 Agile PLM experience is a plus.
5 Proficiency with MS Office is a must.
6 Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail are a must.
7 Excellent verbal and written communications skill in both Mandarin and English are required, with good presentation skills.
8 Travel will be required occasionally.
9 Some work hour flexibility in will be occasionally required to support activities in different time zones.
10 Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
11 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required preferably in related discipline.
