Position Objective:
The Process Engineer will be responsible to implement electronics manufacturing within relevant quality standards and established production requirements. You will use your knowledge of product design, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control to launch new products into production at our factory and suppliers.

Key Duties:
Define and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP)
Plan and implement production processes, including: machine installation and setup, work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, scheduling and other related costs
Train workers to follow defined production line processes
Create and translate production documentation
Set up production line and configure wave solder, SMT machines
Design, source (from local vendors) and create test fixtures for function testing, and production assembly fixtures
Create assembly instructions for new products to be manufactured
Work closely with Engineering department on product design to ensure efficient production methods
Plan and coordinate production engineering processes to produce high quality products
Monitor production line for efficiency, first-pass yield, replication and repeatability
Design new systems and processes to introduce new products or improve existing ones
Troubleshoot product defects to determine root cause, making required adjustments

Key Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in electronics manufacturing, as Production Engineer or related title
Post-secondary engineering degree (electronics)
Experience PCBA manufacturing- Direct experience setting up and maintaining wave soldering and SMT machines
Knowledge of MCU programming on PCB assemblies as required
Experience troubleshooting PCBAs
Experience interpreting manufacturing procedures, schematics, diagrams and drawings
Mechanical engineering knowledge
Experience working with an ERP system (Epicor is preferred)
Ability to create positive working relationships with co-workers and supplier contacts
Assertive, with ability to successfully work with suppliers to achieve results
Good written and spoken English communication (CET 4)
