Requirement:
-Ideally educated to degree level in an Engineering, Purchasing or Logistics discipline.
A proven track record of managing the purchasing function at a senior level.
-Experience within the building trades is essential Procurement of Sanitary ware, building components, Shower, Baths, Toilets, Faucets, Ceramic Tiles, Windows , Doors, Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets, Steel structural components.
-Highly computer literate with the ability to work with spreadsheets, Excellent analytical skills.
-Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
-The ability to develop sound and professional relationships and influence decisions.
-The ability to work under pressure.
-Excellent negotiation skills.
-First class communication skills both oral and written.
-Highly literate and numerate.
-Experience of sourcing in China or the Far East is required

Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement best-in-class purchasing processes and performance..
-Analyse purchasing requirements and coordinate purchasing strategies to leverage cost reductions and obtain world-class costs.
-Manage, develop and measure the performance of the supplier base.
-Direct and control Purchasing staff to ensure they are well motivated and trained and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
-Negotiate major Company purchasing requirements.
-Monitor and control spend against budget and forecast.
-Implement annual supply tenders for the major areas of spend.
