Position Summary
To manage and ensure supply of parts in the most cost effective way and in line with the Materials Group Strategy. Project Manage Key initiatives within the Supply Chain Group.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assure Material & Service availability to meet production demand
- Prepare & maintain purchasing Procedures
- Perform Commodity & vendor Benchmarking
- Support & Maintain Daily Shortage tools & Processes
- Deal Effectively with both Internal Customer & supplier Queries
- Liaise on a Daily basis with Customer & SLC hub to resolve any queries
- Work locally with Carriers & SLC receiving to ensure product gets delivered in line with Commit dates
- Update weekly Purchase Orders.
- Monitor inventories @ SerCom, Vendor Sites and In-Transit
- Communicate regularly with vendors.
- Expedite potential shortages.
- Work to reduce any potential Excess and Obsolete
- Proactively seek out, access and deliver cost & lead- time reduction opportunities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Be capable of operating & co-ordinating activity within a Multi-cultural environment and be capable of influencing those within that environment
- Capable of responding to multiple challenges in a positive and energetic fashion
- Capable of pulling information from a variety of sources both internal & external to our Client and be able to process & analyse this information & data
- Excellent product Knowledge to be able to liase effectively with the customer & offer alternatives to find an optimal solution for the customers product requirements
Education & Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of MRP and SAP.
- APICS/IIPMM or equivalent.
- Proven track record in managing cross functional project teams
- Sound Knowledge of key business processes, related products and fulfilment methodologies.
- Fluent Mandarin & English
