职位描述
Responsibilities:
? Preparation of forecasts, / market trends, etc in support of LRF process for Greenbook and Deep Dive
? Preparation of data/information/analysis required for semi-annual competitive overview
? Proactively collect competitor data from multiple sources to build a comprehensive and current data set for synthesis and analysis. Sources to include but not limited to
1. Web searches/queries
2. Competitors/Customers internet sites
3. Industry Forums
4. Analyst reports as applicable
5. Annual reports
? Synthesize/integrate competitor data to generate timely, accurate, and relevant competitive intelligence and propose strategic (usually long term), financial, or operational (usually short term) changes, as needed.
? Manage 3rd-party analysis and consultant studies including scope preparation, project initiation, progress reviews, triangulation, analysis and report out of final product
? Provide coordination with sector Long Range forecasting processes and required reporting
? Develop processes and assumptions to complete information where there are gaps.
? Identify/obtain and submit for analysis competitive samples. Determine testing required; analyze and report out results to include key findings and changes to previous understanding of competitive product.
? Develop and update competitor cost modeling (including data necessary and “what if” analysis) to understand competitors’ manufacturing cost structure and to identify key cost drivers. May work with S&T and other functions to gather all possible inputs for the cost analysis. Cost breakdown to include total cost, cost by process step, cash cost, fixed vs variable, etc.

? Support the development of counter-strategies in response to competitor actions and responses.
? Regularly monitor the industry to identify new competitors, substitute products, or early signs of changes in the market and to provide timely, ad-hoc reports when major industry events occur.

? Review large amounts of input/data – identify key relevant points
Experiences/Education:
Required
? Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience
? MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business)
? Experience delivering quantitative analysis results and implications to senior management
Desired
? Experience managing people
? Previous work experience in Commercial and/or Manufacturing and/or Development
? Financial analysis and accounting experience
? Work experience in a Strategy group
? Experience working with internal or external customers
? International business work experience
? Participation in multicultural and/or multi-geographic projects
