Mission
The permanent mission of the Wiring Device Product Offer Manager is to be the Product Champion for the Wiring Device
Range in Asia and work with various local marketing functions and category manages in order to successfully deliver the
appropriate product or application for the appropriate market.
1.Product
· Management of product offer lifecycle through monitoring of alternative offer developments and technologies
· Identify and investigate new market and customer opportunities, and develop the offer to meet this need
· Manage the offer roadmap in line with the needs of the local markets respecting Line of Business (LOB) overall
strategy
· Offer creation and new product introduction, incorporating technology available within Schneider Electric
· Adaptation and development of the existing offer
· Manage Offer rationalization & simplification
· Secure right product functionality for functions not managed in WD section ( Small Business Control, Residential
Control and network connectivity)
· Production of an annual development plan for renewal of existing offers or development of new offers in conjunction
with Shenzhen and Bangalore R&D.
· Actions to address any products failing to meet desired sales and/or margin expectations
· Well informed knowledge of the market and ongoing evolution of the offer to respond to changing market conditions
· Offer Optimization project member , provide substitution plan .
· Coordinate with Offer Manager counter part of other lines, synchronize roadmaps.
2.Price Positioning
Be responsible for monitoring cost and margin performance of Wiring Device products, liasing with the local marketing
teams in line with consolidated margin requirements.
Define price positioning of new offers
· Optimise profitability of the product offer.
· Benchmarking report of average market prices and positioning of Schneider Electric offer.

3.Place
In association with the local marketing team, ensure product launch logistical maintenance for all products under
responsibility ensuring suitable coverage and launch availability in the market place.
Ensure awareness of the offer in all relevant entities and segments.
- Maintain launch stock requirements of products for normal and special business.
- Communicate effectively with the local country entity
4.Know How and Problem Solving
There are two distinct different levels of complexity for the role of Product Offer Manager:
Standard (*1) Products or Complex (*2) Products
· Standard products: General technical support of the offer
· Complex products: Application knowledge
5.Customer and Channel
Work with the local marketing teams to understand the behavior and expectation of each customer channel and segment.
· Anticipate and satisfy Customer needs profitably
6.Reporting
Develop measures and reporting mechanisms for all areas of responsibility
· Well briefed Partner Retail and local entity management team
Product:
1 Example of Standards Products – Switches and sockets
2 Example of Complex Products – Technology products, including: intelligent lighting controls, standalone dimming and
fan control, home automation, energy efficiency, Hotel control.
Essential:
· Knowledge of practical marketing commercial and industrial products
· Knowledge of strategy and planning
· Sound commercial experience
· Knowledge of commercial and industrial applications, electrical and electronic
· Knowledge of complex products and their applications
· Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Business Management
· Minimum of 10 years sales and/or marketing experience,
· Dynamic, self motivated individual who is a team player
· Results driven, diligent and resolute
· Good English communication skills.
· Good negotiation and influencing skills.
· Independent. Able to develop and manage personal work plans.
· Working knowledge of appropriate PC applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
Desirable:
· Working knowledge of Wiring Devices, electrical installation regulations and practice.
· Previous experience of providing offer introduction/launching and offer roadmap.
· Business/marketing related qualification (Dipl. Business Management, CIM diploma etc.)
· Previous experience of working within a large matrix style organization MNC.
