The software engineer in this role is responsible for embedded software development for Beats’ family of products. This individual will be working to develop awesome software that is scalable, functional, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

- Develop code on embedded devices that interface with mobile and desktop applications.
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain embedded systems for audio products.
- Analyze and document embedded systems; contribute to product definition and design; work with a dedicated team to meet deadlines.
- Develop working, readable, testable, scalable, maintainable, and quality source code.
- Deliver materials on time, on budget, and of high quality.
- Work with hardware and software developers in a wide range of disciplines to develop fully integrated applications.
- Work with ODM development engineers
- Learn how to develop for mobile and desktop applications. Beat’s is willing to take on people who are highly skilled in one area and want to become well rounded.

Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or other related disciplines.
- 3+ years of software development.
- 2+ years of programming embedded microprocessors, such as 8051s, ARM7/9s, Freescale 56K, CSR, and SHARC families of processors.
- 2+ years of programming in C/C++ and assembly.
- 2+ years experience using integrated development environments.
- Experience with other technologies like iOS, OSX, Windows or Android.
- Knowledge of source code control tools like Git, SVN or CVS.
- Knowledge of Agile software development. Knowledge of other software development life cycles like RUP or Waterfall is acceptable.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools like Bugzilla or Jira.
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development experience and knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, JMock, etc.
- Familiarity working with USB devices.
- Familiarity working with wireless technologies like WiFi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Energy.
- Experience with PC or Mac application development is a plus.
- Experience with web development is a plus.
- May travel by car or plane domestically or possibly internationally.
