Job Description: The Field Engineer is responsible for supplying the customer with the technical knowledge of our solution. They provide engineering support during the deployment of the solution and have the capability to match their technical expertise of the solution to the business needs of the customer. The successful candidate is technically proficient and is capable of wiring our solution to factory machines. They have knowledge of the operations of the shop floor as well as an understanding of the working of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

Responsibilities include:

§ Assessing the customer site to determine the best use for our solution. This includes identifying the signals to use as well as identifying the proper configuration that meets the customer’s business needs.

§ Provide technical expertise for the configuration and installation of our solutions at customer sites.

§ Working with the customer during the entire deployment process. Handle all issues during the deployment.

§ Train operators on the usage of the solution.

§ Work with Shoplogix sales teams to provide technical expertise to help land the customer.

§ Provide second level support.

The successful candidate is:

§ A self starter capable of working independently.

§ Technically capable. Is able to interface with PLCs or obtain a signal directly from a sensor.

§ Hands-on both electrically and mechanically.

§ Knowledgeable of shop floor.

§ Able to manage the customer throughout the deployment process.

§ An effective communicator.

§ Confident, results oriented and shows initiative.

§ Willing to travel on a regular basis.

§ Good speaking on Mandarin
