1. Brief Description

This position will support the regional engineering and sales development team in the sales process, and engineer opportunities into customized supply chain solutions. Specifically, he or she will analyze the effectiveness of operations, and design optimal logistics solutions to yield cost savings for MNC clientele and meet revenue and margins objectives of our organization. Other expectations include the development of supply chain capabilities and replicating them in countries within the region.

2. Key Accountabilities/Duties

-Support engineering and regional business development teams in the sales process to win business for the organization and to meet revenue and margin objectives.

-Analyze the effectiveness of client's operations, develop optimal and well-conceptualized logistics solutions, and work with regional BD and country sales team to develop detailed proposals including solution design, cost models, process flow simulation, and other logistics factors within customer defined timelines.

-Work closely with country management and sales team to develop pricing solutions and perform profit and loss analysis for customer business opportunities.

-Lead initiatives to develop supply chain capabilities in the automotive, electronics, and FMCG industry, and replicate these capabilities within the region.

-Assist in the orientation of new logistics engineering analysts to bring them up to speed on the requirements of their job.

-Perform a supervisory role to the logistics engineering analysts and crosscheck that the proposals and solutions developed are of acceptable quality.

3. Requirements

-Education

Bachelor's Degree or Master of Science in Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering from an established and reputable university is a prerequisite. Emphasis should be on operations research, modelling and scenario planning or industrial logistics.

-Experiences

4 years of Logistics experience with skills in warehousing, distribution, order management, planning and optimization, and information technology application to logistics. Some proposal preparation experience, costing, contract negotiation on rates, and customer presentation experience is advantageous. At least 1 year exposure to Pan Asian operations of large MNCs

-Skill Sets

Possess advanced analytical and problem solving abilities, confident in analysing significant amounts of data and turning it into actionable information, ability to conduct financial analysis, literate in information technology, particularly as it relates to logistics, good knowledge of optimization modelling or operations research software, demonstrate good proposal writing skills, ability to work well both independently and in teams, under a multi-location and multi-cultural environment, able to work in a fast moving and demanding environment, good interpersonal skills to apply in communications with business partners, the field, and corporate personne.

-Desired competencies

Agile and flexible in thinking and cutting solutions, strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, and strong business acumen. Aptitude for people oriented management and able to lead teams/workshops. Equip excellent computer skills, including spreadsheet and database proficiency.
