Senior Specialist Test Laboratory Structural Durability

Employment – full time

Tasks

- Conducts advanced structural durability tests of complex vehicle systems including analysis and documentation, especially on components of the electro mobility (e.g. high-voltage batteries)

- Independent configuration of automation systems and determination of test parameters for controlling the testing facilities

- Self-dependent adaption and transfer of testing data derived from the measurement of vehicle operating loads to highly complex testing facilities

Key Responsibilities

- Independently configuring automation systems and determining test parameters for driving highly complex testing facilities and control systems

- Ensuring data transferability of the acquired road load data. Analysis, evaluation and adaption of control signals

- Supporting and consulting with specialists in the testing and construction department regarding questions of structural durability testing

- Conducting advanced structural durability tests on complex vehicle system and prototype vehicles (test set-up, analysis and evaluation of measurement data acquired from the test, decisions regarding required action during testing, analysis of component damage etc.)

- Self-dependent planning, commissioning, construction and manufacture of testing rigs for adaptation in vehicle systems

- Detailed presentation of test results to be used as a basis for decisions made by the client

Qualifications

- Technician or certified foreman of metal-working or automotive engineering

- Experience with servo-hydraulic testing equipment and special automation software (e.g. LMS Tecware)

- Experience with electro-mechanical testing equipment (shaker)

- Trained as a "qualified electrician for specified activities" on high-voltage systems > 25 volts AC and 60 volts DC on motor vehicles

- Personal requirements: communication and teamwork skills, project experience, strong analytical skills, quality-conscious, assertiveness

- English: fluent, basic knowledge in German is an advantage

- Several years in the field of experimental testing, 4-6 years

- Methodical expertise with measurement, analysis and evaluation tools, 4-6 years
