Position Summary

The supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to do inspections assigned by the company and preliminary audits to improve existing quality issues and pass third party audits, and to monitor third party's performance against OMX SOP

Reports to:Manager,Audit & Inspection

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct quality system audit and drive the factories to keep improving the quality level
  
• Independently execute inspections which assigned by the company,conduct quality inspections FRI,DPI etc. base on AQL for the various products in the whole China
• Conduct preliminary audit for SA and C-TPAT on site to help vendors/factories improve existing issues and pass the pass the third party audit
• Monitor third Party's on site inspection or on site audit to make sure their performance is in compliance with SOP
• Report any findings found during inspection, audit or monitor to supervisors
• Work with factory and OMX QE closely to make SCAP for quality or audit issues, as well as to verify factory's corrective action on site
• Prepare weekly inspection and audit summaries with result statistics
• Other assignment from Company
  
• Take care of company's interests, work activities and compliance requirements

Position Requirements

• University or college degree, preferred major in mechanics or engineering
• Willing to travel frequently in China including stationed somewhere for a short period of time
  
• More than 3 years work experience of working with factories for on site inspection and on site SA & C-TPAT audit in a multinational company, mainly in hardware products such as office furniture/Stationeries /Electronics
  
• Familiar with international standards, quality system rules such as ISO9001, and compliance rules such as SA8000, OHSAS18001,ISO14001, local laws etc
• Familiar with IT skills,e.g. Word, Excel,PPT, Visio, Outlook etc
• Good in speaking, reading and writing in English and Mandarin
• Self-motivated, honest and team-oriented, excellent communication skills, can work under pressure with high sense of responsibility
