MISSION

1.Summarise the purpose of this position to assess its expected contribution to the results of the organisation

The Industrialisation Cost Engineer’s role is to lead the product cost analysis prior to and after the Project Management Process.

2.Develop product specific cost models to illustrate influences related to design and manufacturing technology alternatives as well as supply chain architecture and manufacturing processes.

3.Work with Purchasing, Product Engineering, Methods, Finance, Design Engineering and Project Management departments to establish accurate cost models.

4.Develop and maintain an awareness of the location economies of all the Partner Business Asia factories and their geographically specific cost considerations.

PROFILE REQUIRED

1. Required skills & knowledge for the position:

· At least 8 years experience in product cost analysis and control.

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

· Experience in the creation of methods and standards will be an advantage.

· Familiar with production process and production organization.

· Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacture and assembly, Logistics or Purchasing is desirable.

· Knowledge in parts manufacturing and assembly processes is essential.

· Strong communication and time management skills

· Candidate must have professional work attitude, discipline and always set high standards that reflect well upon themselves as well as the company

2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience

· Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a few years of manufacturing cost analysis experience will also be considered.

3. Languages:

· Must be proficient in both English and Mandarin (reading, writing and speaking).

4. Other Requirements:

· Strong analytical skills.

· In-depth knowledge and understanding relevant products build-up and understanding what are the cost contributors.
