Critical Job Elements:

The Compliance Engineer will support and guide our product development teams from product inception through end-of-life (regulatory product design, test, and agency submission support) for the ATCA product in the following areas:

· EMC

· Product Safety

· NEBS

Qualifications: The right candidate for this position must have the following qualifications

(Please document the required education, degrees and desired work experience):

· Education: A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

· At least 3-5 years relevant work experience.

· Knowledge of ITE and telecom compliance standards (e.g. EN 55022/55024, UL60950, and FCC Part 15). A solid background in Telcordia NEBS (e.g. GR-63, GR-1089) and equivalent ETSI requirements (EN 300 386, EN 300 019) is desirable.

· Excellent communication (written and Verbal) in English as well as chines, energetic and task oriented, ability to work equally well in both team-oriented and self-directed environment.

· Hands-on and not afraid to jump in to solve problems.

· Ability to write scripts for the ATCA product test set up for compliance testing.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will join a team of compliance and SIT engineers in the engineering group, and will support teams at various design centers around the globe and customers in a broad range of geographies. We work with a wide range of external labs like UL, CSA, TUV and EMC labs. Coordinating approvals for electromagnetic compatibility (e.g. FCC, ICES-003, VCCI….) frequently means working with a broader spectrum of labs. Coordinating internal and external work with appropriate attention to risk management for key program milestones is critical to success for this position. A typical compliance engineer is expected to support and managing 3-4 projects at one time and need to be detail oriented. This requires solid time- and project-management skills to juggle taking care of several teams all working on different deadlines. Some travel may be required.

The ideal candidate must be very comfortable working with a wide range of computers, software, operating systems and Telecom products. They must be able to read schematics and provide a technical analysis based on applicable standards and test targets for the program. They must be ready to jump in and operate the equipment being tested (with support from the development team) and are frequently in the position of demonstrating acceptable operation to test lab personnel.

The ideal candidate has the following additional responsibilities:

· Participate in weekly project team oversight meetings to ensure issues are being adequately addressed and escalated.

· Staging EUT for compliance EMC testing. This includes some level of script writing to be determined by SIT group.

· Established long term relationship with key test labs locally and abroad.

· Able to adapt ITE and telecom standards and similar requirements to the specific needs of a program or customer.

· Generate product test plans & test reports. Perform EMC & product safety debugs and publish test results. Manage and document product qualification procedures and associated documentation, in addition to, vendor test reports documenting the testing being performed.

· Provide technical guidance for the development team on how to ensure products certifications in a timely fashion.
