Job Description:

The Sr. Software QA Engineer is responsible for technical planning, scheduling, developing test case, executing and reporting results of a specific system test project based on SW platform roadmap or product requirement. The Sr. Software QA Engineer will work closely with developer team (and possibly other test/support engineers) in small teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

· Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases against ATCA-based hardware and software platforms or specific customer configuration

· Interacting with development engineers, customer support engineers, manufacturing engineers from multiple sites

· Coordinating and providing technical leadership to team resources for the test project, introducing/developing new test methodologies/technologies and automation continuous improvement

· Development and maintenance of the automated test script and test tool

· Estimating test efforts, and monitoring whole test project status and risk

· Analyzing and communicating test results

· Defect tracking

· Customer support and troubleshooting

· Mentor to Junior engineer

Qualifications/Requirements:

· BS or MS in Computer/Electronics Engineering or its equivalent

· Minimum 6+ years' experience on Linux system product testing or relevant

· Experience on successfully leading small team at least 3 test projects

· Hands-on system level testing /development on compactPCI or ATCA boards, chassis and shelf manager

· In-depth understanding of PC hardware/networking knowledge and Linux operating system

· Strong software development skills. Write and debug test script in Linux shell or Perl

· Background in TCP/IP protocol, switcher/router configuration, and SNMP

· Experience on Clearquest, ClearCase tool

· Fluent oral and written English

· Good communication and negotiation skills

· Great team player, strong sense of ownership & ability to work independently without much supervision

· Experience on test automation or automated test framework development is plus

· Experience on SmartBits or IXIA or relevant test equipment is plus

· Knowledge of specifications of IPMI, ATCA, HPI is plus

· Knowledge of developing of Linux kernel, file system and driver is plus
