Molding Engineer for Xbox accessoryJob description:
· Management of overall manufacturing operations for plastics tooling and molding; · Support the New Product Development Process by working with R&D on component designs to ensure manufacturability. · Interface with hardware development groups, hardware manufacturing, and suppliers to define and manage manufacturing strategies for injection mold tooling, injection molding, cosmetic part decorating and labeling, and manufacturing operations; · Develop robust injection molding processes to deliver high output quality products in line with business unit.· Troubleshoot, contain, and resolve manufacturing issues related to injection mold processing, injection mold tooling, die stamping, pad-printing, painting, and tooling issues;· Supplier support to insure uninterrupted supply chain of mechanical piece parts to CMs, documentation management of tool designs, molding Specification and qualification data, · Provide insight into supply base capability, and leverage opportunities to more effectively utilize supplier capability for injection molded plastics tooling and manufacturing. Deliverables: Tooling schedule, RFQ tooling, Tooling spec & Inspection, tool drawings & control dimensions, Tooling buy-off form signed, Plastics supplier, Assembler, Tooler signed-off, Tooling certification Form, Tooling design review summary. · tooling EC activity management and ongoing tooling maintenance, ongoing process improvements for cost reduction and product performance enhancement,· Support of procurement teams year over year for cost reduction goals from molding.
Requirements:w Bachelor's Degree majored in Mechanical/Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding Engineering;w Strong molding Process Engineering Capability, Minimum 5 years experience in Injection Molding process handling;w Plastics After molding (Assembly) process experience, Tooling design experience is preferred;w Extensive experience needed on PPAP, FMEA, Plastics, NPI Activities, Process Validations, Documentation and problem solving;w Recent CAD experience with Pro Engineer would be considered an added benefit but not mandatory. w Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with successful industry experience working with both customers and suppliers of mechanical components and assemblies.w The ability and willingness to travel in order to support design and manufacturing activity. w Good English & Mandarin speaker;
