Critical Job Elements

• Create 3D/2D heat sink drawing, and work with vendor to do external DFM review
• Works closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, customers, marketing, sales and vendors to design board/system level thermal solution to meet products requirements
• Develop measure and validate new thermal solutions for new designs. To be responsible for estimating, simulating and testing the thermal performance of company's products and their corresponding thermal solutions. Estimating and simulating component thermal performance using Analytical methods, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element tools
• Take charge of thermal design/test documents by following development process, as well as analyzes thermal modeling data from appropriate tools.
• Develop and automate new thermal measurement capabilities
• Coordinate and communicate project status with internal program teams
• Requires keen organization skills and the ability to maintain project deadlines while multitasking on several projects at once.
• Work as a liaison between SZ and other RadiSys engineering teams in other locations for all thermal related issues.
• On-site technical support about thermal issue for key customer

Qualifications

• A qualified candidate should possess a Bachelor degree in Thermal Engineering with five+ years of thermal design experience.
• Have strong thermal design engineering skills with proficiency in Thermal tools (Flotherm* or IcePak*)
• Solid experience with definition, testing and statistical evaluation of thermal and mechanical experiments.
• Knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD* or Pro*/Engineer*) would be required.
• Knowledge of IC Packaging, PC Architecture, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design, tolerance analysis, reliability testing and structural analysis would be desired.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Injection Molding, PCB fabrication, Extrusions, Sheet Metal and CNN would be a plus.
• Previous experience with systems design, thermal modeling, DFM, and design for low EMI/RFI susceptibility is a plus.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and schedules in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• A self starter who requires minimum supervision to succeed. Highly motivated and results oriented
• Good English language communication skills, both written and oral.
• Have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
• Great people skills with good communication and well-organized, disciplined.
• Should obey an instruction from immediate manager and also report work result to the line manager.
