Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the project schedule from beginning to the end the project
2. Responsible to provide engineering support for the project from concept stages through out development stage to production
3. Lead the Project Engineers to ensure the design optimization including cost, manufacturability, function and safety
4. the project engineers to offer project engineering services
5. Develop feasible project plan with active participation of team members and the suppliers
6. Provide competitive costs for quotations or options / alternative sources to meet target prices to increase project wins
7. Understand and manage the impact of project change requests
8. Manage project timeline, communicate status, and timely escalation of potential issues between oversea offices and suppliers
9. Identify risk to project delivery – on-time delivery, cost and quality, and develop practical contingency plan to manage the risk with the support of other functional members and the suppliers
10. Prepare the prototypes and engineering specifications with the engineers and assigned vendors during the product development stage
11. Verify the design complies with the customer and safety requirements e.g. EP testing, feasibility study and work with the vendor to provide the required samples / models
12. Monitor the progress for all projects as schedule and the workload for their team
13. Assign appropriate tasks to his/her subordinate and provide guidance

Requirements:

1. Education – University education， bachelor degree, mechanical engineering background
2. Language skills
Ability to communicate in English fluently, oral English is a must
3. At least 8 years’ working relevant experience in engineering and project management
Sufficient industry experience and knowledge of the retail products. Knowledge of the medical device is much preferred.
4. Good understanding of all functional areas and the clients, and in-depth knowledge of the entire project flow at Creata
5. Project management skills
Capable of multiple functional project planning, managing milestones / critical path, status update, risk assessment of on-time completion of project, and escalation of issues for higher-level management awareness and involvement when necessary. Post project critique for lessons learned to prevent repeat issue.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
Capable to facilitate multiple functional discussions to achieve collaboration among functional areas
Capable of negotiations with suppliers to meet the project deliverables on cost, quality and delivery.
Proactively communicate both positive achievements and potential issues
7. Creative problem solving
Able to think out side of the box to trouble shoot issues encountered. Collaborate with others including the suppliers to resolve issues.
8. Job related skills
Solid experience in product design, product pricing and prototype development
Good in office computing and understand CAD/CAM system
In depth understanding the structure and calculation of pricings
Have solid knowledge and properties of different materials
Ability to lead a team of engineers
