Job Description:
Reporting to the General Manager,the purchasing Specialist must have outstanding skills in sourcing and selecting suppliers of a very wide range of products in China.After prices ard negotiated and samples ard approved the candidate must take care of all documents and logistical follow up from each selected supplier, since the origin to the destination port.Furthermore, other details of who we are looking for:
* Responsible for the effective follow-up and tracking of all business enquiries and leads.
* Dealing wiht Chinese and overseas suppliers
* Processing of paperwork and data, record-keeping and coordination of all logistic procedures with shipping companies and logistic department in Brazil.
* Ensure accurate and consistent execution of component costing with all suppliers.
* Ensure all supplier quotations and samples are completed on a timely basis for appropriate decision making to meet objectives.
* Execute placements based on supplier capability,capacity,quality& delivery performance and price.
* Maintain and update the performance data of each supplier on a regular basis. Monitor supplier performance, his track record and references.
Qualifications:
* College/ University graduate mandatory
Experience/ Knowledge/ Capabilities
* Knowledge of suppliers and factories.Able to discern performance differences between various manufacturers.
* Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Able to work under high pressure.
* Outstanding negotiation skills in working with suppliers on product and price.Good experience in using component costing.
* Team player with ability to work with associates from different cultures.
* Proficient in office software applications(MS Word and Excel)
* Self-motivated and ability to multi-task successfully
* Fluent in both Chinese and English(written and spoken). Portuguese and/ or Spanish is preferable and would be a SIGNIFICANT advantage.
* At lease 3-year-experience working for English Speaking enterprises.
* High level of inter-personal skills & keeping confidentiality
* An understanding of company planning processes.
* Meticulous and sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
