Microsoft expects to reinvent many portions of the world wide supply chain and this position is critical to success. The Business Process Management Leader resides within Microsoft’s Global Supply Chain Operations Team and plays a crucial role in advancing supply chain capabilities, developing scalable processes and keeping our supply chain running at optimal levels. The role spans all processes encompassing order-to-cash within the supply chain from point of manufacture to deliver and return. The Business Process Management Leader will also drive critical and complex projects across multiple channels and functions. Collaboration and subject matter expertise across multiple disciplines will be critical to success as this role touches all facets of the supply chain, including suppliers and partners.
Roles/Responsibilities
1. Process engineering, development, implementation, audit and improvement for assigned sets of supply chain and operations capabilities
1. Manage portfolio of improvement initiatives including project and change management, documentations, training, knowledge and change management
2. Routinely manage master data maintenance cadence and activity across supply chain functions
3. Drive data-driven evaluation of business rules with appropriate decision makers to ensure optimal performance, then ensure execution and compliance
4. Partner with IS, functional teams, customers and suppliers to deliver best-in-class business results
5. Work with supply chain operations team to root cause, resolve and prevent performance issues and ensure achievement of KPI targets
6. Independently analyze supply chain data, policies and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive the implementation of supply chain initiatives
7. Provide ad hoc analysis for the supply chain operations team to support data-based decision making
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
(absolute minimums, will not talk to anyone without these items. Typically the non-subjective items i.e. 3+ years C++ development.
1. 5+ years supply chain related functions (required), preferably within a retailer or manufacturer shipping direct to retail, enterprise or consumers; Fortune 500 experience preferred
2. 4+ years experience with ERP (SAP), EDI, supply chain management systems in a cross-group supply chain and/or operations organization (required)
3. 2+ years experience managing complex improvement or transformational projects including setting scope, reaching consensus, execution, and presenting results (required)
4. A track record analyzing business data and processes while driving tangible business results.
5. Excellent communication and ability to present complex information to non-technical personnel at all levels, including ability to train and educate others
6. Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
7. Bachelor’s or Engineering degree, preferably in business, supply chain, operations management, or industrial engineering
8. Self-starter that works independently to seek out and drive continuous improvement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(will make a candidate more preferable - and/or subjective items such as, ‘excellent communication skills’, collaborative, leader, etc etc etc. these items can also be an introduction above the qualifications such as, “Our candidate will have excellent communication skills, leadership, etc…”
1. A strategic, inquisitive and innovative thinker
2. Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations
3. Digital supply chain, e-commerce and multi-channel experience (preferred)
