Job Title: Acoustic Engineer – Gaming Products
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Nacon is a global leader in gaming audio accessories for all console formats, hand-held platforms and PC.
With distribution in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Africa, Latin America, and Asia, Nacon is expanding and is looking for an Acoustic engineer to help achieve our goals.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to support the Development team in the product design, verification and continuous improvement of manufacturing partners in meeting customer, company and regulatory compliance specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
61 Establish technical specifications for acoustic performance, and SOP, of wired and wireless Gaming Headsets, Gaming earphones and USB Streaming Microphones
61 Review data sheets, component specifications, schematics and PCB/PCBA layouts proposed by manufacturing partners
61 Review and advise on product structural design, that achieves acoustic performance
61 Work with partners to test, verify and validate product audio performance
61 Work with Development team to achieve product launch targets
61 Work with Quality team on compliance requirements
61 Engage in proactive communication with Engineering, Development and Quality departments at Headquarters.
Requirements:
61 Degree in Acoustic/Electronic Engineering.
61 Minimum 5 years’ experience in consumer electronics.
61 Experience with design and testing equipment for audio products including `HATS’ configuration.
61 Minimum 5 years’ experience working for, or with, European companies/customers is highly preferred.
61 Experience of digital audio CODEC and video streaming products would be desirable.
61 Experience of PlayStation, Xbox, PC games would be desirable.
61 Work independently and proactively.
61 Work as part of a team.
61 Good technique and experience in communicating with China manufacturers.
61 Good communication skills and oral and written expression skills in English.
61 Travel to China is required.
