The Job
We are looking for a talented Engineering Manager with experience gained in high volume industry. You will focus on all engineering issues with engineering team consisting of Tooling Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers and Software Engineers.
Main Responsibilities
1.Lead BTC engineering team to provide professional support for ITL products
2.Drive engineering team to provide prompt & effective solutions for the engineering issues both internal and external
3.Coach team members to be experts on plastics injection, metal parts, tooling, electronics and box build etc.
4.Drive and work with existing suppliers to provide high standard of service to ITL/BTC and verify parts and components to meet drawings and quality standards
5.Maintain effective communication with ITL support team for improving products quality and reliability
6.Work closely with local team for on time delivery, cost saving etc
7.Supplier engineering capability evaluation
Qualifications
1.Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent; qualified by experience
2.High level of computer literacy; WORD; Excel
Skills & Experience
1.Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager is essential
2.Demonstrate the ability to resolve complex issues to tight timescales
3.Excellent technical knowledge of plastic injection moulding & metal components
4.Knowledge of DFM and DFA techniques
5.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
6.Excellent standard of both written and spoken English
7.Ability to produce clear and concise technical reports
