Summary of Position:

Leads the commercial relationship, inventory and negotiation strategies for RSC appointed suppliers. Assists and supports Contract Manufactures issues with component supply, distributor or supplier relationship. Manages and reports on contract manufactures inventories of critical and key components. Leads the relationship between supplier and Contract Manufacturer.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Support contract manufacturers with resolving electronic component shortages

·        Support supplier identification, selection and qualification processes for new and alternate sources of supply. Support the supplier qualification audits and assist with developing a strong Approved Manufacturers List.

·        Manage and support preparation and evaluation of RFIs and RFQs for components.

·        Drive continuous improvement cost reductions trough the life of the supplier contracts or introduce alternative supplier by step and step

·        Oversee,  and actively manage the  sourcing and procurement process for electronical parts at Contract Manufacturers

·        Actively monitor vendor and internal performance against contracts, industry benchmarks, and previous baselines on a quarterly basis. Create and develop reports for monthly operations supply chain reviews. 

·        Work with commodity team to Identify, track and evaluate market changes and new and obsolete technologies. Decide if adjustment to component or Finished Good inventory is needed.

Qualifications:

·        University degree in electronic/ engineering or related education background. Electronics engineering related background in factory is preferred.

·        10+ years working experience and 4 years + of solid experience in electronic components purchasing or category manager is required.

·        Have in depth knowledge in components like MCU, Sensor, Battery Management, well know the supplier base and market trend.

·        Have sufficient supplier source and good relationship with manufacturers and distributor.

·        Detail-mined with good analytical, negotiation skills and numerical sense.

·        Self-starter with commercial and presentation skills.

·        With ability to work with different level of people independently.

·        Ability to work independently, meticulous, detail-oriented, and well-organized.

·        Able to work under pressure in tight working schedule.

·        Good command of spoken and written in both English and Mandarin.

Accountabilities:

·        Responsible for managing electronic component suppliers and commodity.

·        Responsible for cost productivity for the assigned commodity.

·        Point of contact for assigned commodity.

·        Keeps immediate Manager up to date on regional information that could impact business.

·        Dual sourcing management (Electronic Component Suppliers)

Relationships:

·        Reports directly to Director of Supply Chain Asia
