Job Summary

ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and experienced professional to join the Trade Compliance team in China. As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to support China export and import control activities, and provide guidance to the global ON Semiconductor community. With the fast-paced and frequent changes to U.S. trade controls and the implementation of the enhanced China Export Law and related regulations, this is a highly active, multi-tasking role requiring time management, flexibility, teamwork, communication, and collaboration combined with a focused drive towards timely project completion. The department’s focus is on enhancing department processes to proactively support the global business in remaining compliant with trade controls by all global employees.

Performance Objectives

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Support the business with China Customs Regulations, import and export control laws and regulations in China, and China Processing Trade rules.
• Confirm China HS codes for products imported and exported by ON facilities.
• Support China import and export licensing and related communications for imports and exports, and for re-exports and in-country transfers of U.S. items.
• Support internal and external audits related to import and export transactions.
• Communicate daily with the global ON community regarding trade compliance.
• Collaboratively work with and support the efforts of several departments.
• Collaboratively work with customers, their brokers and internal ON team members on tariffs assigned to U.S. origin products upon entry to China.
• Screen supply chain partners against government published lists, using compliance software licensed by ON.
• Support license determination of China import and export transactions, and of re-export and in-country transfer orders containing U.S. items.

• Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong command of the English language;

• Undergraduate degree;
• Minimum five years' related working experience
