Cross Company is a major international manufacturer of fine writing instruments and personal accessories. Since Richard Cross made the first Cross product in 1846, we have re-invented the writing instrument category, combining design ingenuity with jewelry-quality craftsmanship.
We are looking for a full-time International Distribution Manager for the Asia Pacific Region to sell products under both our Cross and Sheaffer brands. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new distribution and retail sales relationships and driving overall sales growth in a highly strategic region. In this role, essential functions will include:
· Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profits
· Establish and execute sales plans and sales promotions to attain sales targets
· Work closely with business partners to develop new in-store and ecommerce programs for both retail and distributor use
· Leverage product knowledge to create sales strategies attractive to potential dealers / distributors
· Develop, maintain, and share A.T. Cross and Sheaffer product knowledge with dealers and retailers
· Create and make sales presentations to prospects and existing accounts
· Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts
· Communicate market requirements effectively to US-based product development and marketing teams
· Attend and coordinate trade shows
· Travel with little or no supervision
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and 1 years’ experience in sales and marketing with a proven track record in meeting sales targets or 5 years’ experience performing in a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this position. This may include outside sales, retail sales, or sales into a distribution or retail environment. Other requirements include:
· Written and spoken English fluency
· Demonstrated and proven track record of sales successes
· Demonstrates customer service focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer service experiences
· Exceptional communication oral/written and interpersonal relationship skills
· Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
· Articulate and fluent communicator, written and verbal, and at ease with public speaking
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
· Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel (50% of time or greater)
· Advanced Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel proficiency
Other preferred skills are:
· Sales or marketing experience in fine writing space
· Knowledge of / connection to APAC office/fine writing distributor networks
· Experience coaching ecommerce
· Secondary language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or Taiwanese
