Sr. Finance Analyst – SSC Shenzhen 

 

 Position Summary: 

  

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for business planning and financial analysis across Taiwan, China and SE Asia including sales, profitability, working capital, and operating expense analysis. The role will partner with the Vice President of the Taiwan, China and SE Asia region, Asia shared services accounting in China and MKS Corporate to effectively drive growth, profitability and ensure the accuracy of financial information for the region.  

  

The role will functionally report to the Region Finance Controller and key customers of the role will be the Vice President of Taiwan, China and SE Asia region, country managers and, the sales and service team leaders.  

  

The position is based in Shenzhen but may require some travel to Taiwan, Singapore and the U.S.

  

 

  

Position Responsibilities: 

  

• Well-versed in revenue/order management, including revenue/order recognition concepts

• Partner with Regional VP, country managers and the sales teams in the development of performance reports, dashboards and KPIs across products, customers, regions and sales personnel

• Partner with Product Groups, Regions & Sales Operations in the review and analysis of common pricing methodologies, practices and identify opportunities to maximize revenue

• Review Company policies across Revenue Recognition, Orders & backlog and propose recommendations for improvement.

• Analyze department spending across various sites / regions (budgeting, actuals, variance analysis, financial close, central governance) 

• Assist with competitive  analysis, customer data, selling strategies & market trends

• Drive monthly reports for key executive reviews (Sales Monthly Business Reviews)

• Oversee the Company’s Quarterly sales alignment reviews (Consensus Forecasting / Outlooks) 

• Ensure accuracy of financial information in the region working with shared services accounting team in China for support

• Audit the Company’s Sales Compensation payouts

• Liaison with external auditors for audits on bookings, billings and backlog

• Support  Business Unit reporting requirements

   

  Position Requirements:   

                              

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to decipher large amounts of data and translate it into meaningful business insights

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products; with emphasis on Excel

• Database management and extensive ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, HFM, Tableau) experience is preferred

• Ability to move from ambiguity to clarity quickly

• Uses data to influence decisions and is able to breakdown problems and articulate resolutions 

• Team player / fast learner with strong interpersonal skills that are transferable across multiple global locations, managers and staff

• U.S. GAAP accounting specifically for revenue recognition

• Accounting/Finance BS/BA degree required, MBA preferred

• Industry experience with global high technology public company preferred

                  

• Good at in both spoken and written English

  

• 8+ years of related professional experience
