Job title:

ASIC Designer

 

Main Responsibilities:

1. Design an ASIC for an LED lighting product.

2. Design analog components such as voltage regulators, current regulators, comparators, and DACs.

3. Design digital components such as a PWM, UART, simple microcontroller core, RAM memory, Flash, and OTP memory.

4. Cost optimise the design.

5. Submit the design to the fabrication company for making samples.

6. Testing the ASIC to make sure it works correctly.

Qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of experience in ASIC design.

2. Experience bringing at least one design from start to finish.

3. Familiarity with the necessary software for ASIC design.

4. Ability to write and understand System Verilog code.

5. Ability to use and FPGA for development and testing of concepts.

6. Familiarity with the companies that make the ASICs at a low cost.

7. Familiarity with different fabrication processes such as 180nm, CMOS, high voltage, etc.

7. Very good analytical and debugging skills.

8. Ability to work independently to solve problems.

Other helpful skills:

1. English communication skills both in verbal and written.

2. Ability to use test equipment in the electronics lab.
