This position is part of Novanta's Photonics group, taking care Cambridge Technology, Synrad, Laser Quantum businesses. Cambridge Technology designs, develops, and manufactures leading-edge laser beam steering solutions including galvanometer and polygon optical scanning components, 2-axis and 3-axis scan heads, scanning subsystems, high power scanning heads, and controlling hardware and software. Our company partners with OEM customers to deliver scanning solutions that support advanced industrial processes, electronics, and laser-based medical applications.

As the inventor of galvanometer-based optical scanning technology, it is our mission to drive innovations in photonics by delivering unprecedented technical capabilities through the critical lens of collaboration, quality, and customer service.

Summary

This job is responsible for leading sales and application engineer team in Shenzhen office and personally taking care of business from key accounts including global accounts. and implement key account management.

Responsibilities

• Successfully transform the current team and enable Cambridge Technology to obtain >20% of its overall revenue from opportunities in China by the end of 2021.
• Rebuild relationship with our distribution partner and develop a joint strategy to drive growth in sales.
• Build team with top commercial talent as well as top applications engineering talent.
• Develop market understanding in key application areas with targeted OEM accounts with which to develop clear plans to increase Cambridge Technology share.
• Strengthen communications with Headquarters of Cambridge Technology to drive Customer Service and Post Sales Tech Support to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Drive foundational process development and implementation around the following:

o Sales Process Standard Work

o Account & Opportunity Pre-visit Planning Standard Work

o KPI's & Dashboards

o Funnel Review Cadence and Processes

o Win/Loss analysis program

o Quarterly Funnel Management System Review

General tasks

• Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
• Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Requirements

• Demonstrated OEM design win expertise in China
• Entrepreneurial attitude with a process-based mentality
• Ability to build and retain world-class talent
• 10+ years' of relevant experience
• Demonstrated capability to create teamwork across time zones and cultures
• Fluent in written and verbal English
• Hands-on and detail-oriented
• A self-starter, with a proven record of demonstrated initiative
• Bachelor's-level degree in technical field
