GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, product development and order execution. S/he needs to nurture vendors to meet our cost, quality and deliver requirements and manage vendor relationship, collaborate with associates towards successful problem solution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Source and qualify new suppliers of assigned product categories. Present new product ideas and new materials to Marketing and Creative departments.

· Review product specifications and artworks from Creative and give directions to suppliers for costing and sampling.

· Negotiate price, production game plan and ship schedule with suppliers.

· Follow up orders with suppliers to ensure on time production and delivery.

· Monitor product development and sample proofing with suppliers.

· Co-ordinate between AG’s QA team and suppliers to expedite suppliers’ compliance with our required product safety and factory COC standard.

· To improve and identify for field inspection failure and provide solutions to Product Safety Team (PST).

· Monitor and manage output and suppliers’ performance by KPI and metrics tools.

Qualifications & Experiences:

· University Degree or above.

· At least 2-5 years relevant working experience with printing products.

· Experience in order handling with international customers.

· Independ work and “problem solve” ability.

· Good knowledge of common quality standards.

· Experience in managing a big supplier base and capable of sourcing new items.

· Willing to travel/ visit factories.

· Fluency in both speaking and written English (CET-6 or above) & Mandarin.

**Potential candidate with less experience may be considered as Assistant Buyer.
