General Role:
Handle engineering activities to ensure product meets company's all specifications, quality requirements and standards. Review vendor's production facility and production parameters to ensure that the product meets all requirements going into mass production.

Ultimate Responsibility:
Responsible for engineering review of product specifications and vendor's facility on production stage.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
·Coordinates on engineering issue/product specification evaluation with China Engineering Supervisor or Assistant Engineering Manager.
Follow product specification, function requirement, form, size, special product requirement and instruction of Engineering Supervisor or Assistant Engineering Manager as reference to monitor model development, tooling development, EP development, PP development on factory's site.
If there is minor issue, China Engineer will monitor modified products to comply with our requirements. If there is major issue, China Engineer will report to his superior of Engineering Supervisor or Assistant Engineering Manager.
Participates together with China Quality (QE/QC) staff, HK PI Quality staff and with HK Engineering Project Manager in holding pre-production meetings with factories.
Review production set up and facilities such as:
o injection parameters
o production jig and fixture
o sonic welding machine parameter etc. by reference of pre-production meeting minutes, VPA (former Appendix A),approved flow chart, etc. to make sure pre-production meeting notes were implemented and pre-production set up accordingly.
Monitor/work with vendor partner factory to settle any minor engineering issue immediately onsite at production stage.
Report major or critical engineering issue to HK Engineering Project Manager staff.
· Work closely with China Quality staff and regional PI Manager at all times, but especially in holding the pre production meeting with the vendor factories.

Qualification:
- 3 to 5 years solid Engineering experience in plastic toys and plush toys is preferable
- Have knowledge on tooling, injection, spraying, flow chart, work instruction, jig & fixture.
- Able to communicate with factories in Engineering and Production Department.
- Proficiency with computers and system required - Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to speak fluently Mandarin, basic English written communication

· Reports to : China Engineering Supervisor or Assistant Engineering Manager.
Indirect reports to SII HK Engineering Project Manager (administrative issues)

Minimum years experience: Engineer=3~5; Senior Engineer=5~8; depending on ability.
Promo Path: Combination of both, classes (i.e. Math, engineering) and experience
