About the Role: 

Gore Shenzhen’s Filtration business within the Performance Solutions Division delivers components and technologies which are designed to meet the strictest environmental regulations, deliver low environmental impact, or offer improvements throughout the sensitive semiconductor fabrication process. The team is seeking an energetic, organized, and high performing experienced process engineer who is willing to grow with the business. In this role you will work within a global and cross-functional team to support existing products through their lifecycle in a global supply chain and advance new product development from concept through commercialization.

Responsibilities:

As an experienced Process Engineer, your daily activities may include manufacturing process troubleshooting, improvement, and modification, expansion of process capabilities or supply chains, and further enhancement of material technology or raw materials, while ensuring a safe and cost-effective work environment. You will also have opportunities to contribute to product development, customer and supplier interaction, as well as the installation, operation, maintenance, and upgrade of production and testing equipment, equipment layout, and workflow. It is intended and desired that as the business grows the qualified Process Engineer will be encouraged and supported to develop into a customer facing role within the business leveraging their prior technical and manufacturing experiences.   

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment post-graduation
• Proven history of documenting and communicating work effectively
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Apply engineering fundamentals and statistical tools to development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
  • Identify critical issues and failure modes, creating a framework of action to address issues and assess root cause including effective risk-based decision making
  • Develop understanding of critical process parameters to ensure the manufacturing process reliably delivers a fit for use product that meets all specifications and customer requirements
  • Prioritize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently from development to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables 
  • Work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions
  • Leverage critical thinking to navigate technical and project uncertainties
• Willingness to sign IP and Confidentiality agreements

Desired Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of direct hands-on experience in a contract manufacturing environment
• Experience with web handling and/or roll good product forms
• Experience developing or transitioning a new process or product from R&D to pilot or pilot to large scale commercial manufacturing
• Experience working with customers to understand application and product needs
