ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as an Advanced Data Analytics Engineer and a Machine Learning Data Scientist within the PETE team

• To solve challenging search problems across a broad range of WDC SSD products.

• Apply data analytics & machine learning techniques to improve the WDC production yield, which may include DS, CP, KGD, Pre/Post Assembly search and defect screenings.

• Partner with FAB, PETE global teams and manufacturing engineers to implement your ideas in production

• Work with other statisticians, engineering teams and analysts to evaluate and validate your improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

REQUIRED:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering or related discipline, advanced degree in Engineering a plus.

• 8+ years of experience in the development and mass production of laminated and/or lead-frame IC and FC packages.

• Good at advanced IC assembly and packaging technology/process, well know the design and fabrication of IC material (EMC, substrate, DAF, etc), and reliability requirements on component level as well as end-user packaging consideration.

• Ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.  

• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 

• Excellent communication (written and verbal in English) and interpersonal skills.

• Be good at AutoCAD, Solid works, JMP or equivalent statistics software, Windows office/Outlook, etc.
