Job Description
Position Description:
An experienced and energetic person to manage our office in Hangzhou. The primary responsibilities include the following:
1. Responsible for overseeing operations of Hangzhou office, including coordination of strategy and development and implementation of policies and procedures under the guidance of the Country Director and Country Manager;
2. Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of auditors, including monitoring auditor performance and execution of compliance with audit and client protocols;
3. Conduct periodic reviews for audit report accuracy, completeness and consistency with program;
4. Work closely with Shenzhen office to obtain any updates with regards to clients'specifications, audit tools, etc. and communicate client updates and feedback to team members;
5. Hold team meetings on a periodic or as needed basis to improve team performance;
6. Create departmental training schedule and requirements;
7. Communicate closely with individual team members to understand their work environment and to maintain a good and effective teamwork;
8. Monitor and manageday-to-dayoffice operations.
Qualifications:
1. High level of integrity and honesty;
2. At least 5 years of local experience in the labor assessment, consulting, and/or manufacturing environment;
3. Experience with managing people and projects;
4. Understanding of the limitations of most brand compliance programs in order to help add additional value through alternative scheme application and recommendations;
5. Fluent local language(s) (written and spoken);
6. Strong written English, good spoken English;
7. Ability to work independently; and
8. Ability to manage a simple budget (experience preferred).
