Position Summary: Participates in the Global Product Development teams and ensures suppliers with appropriate capability are used in the new products and manages the risk with supplier during the GPD projects.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Be involved in GPD sourcing decisions identifying required supplier capability based upon the outsourcing level.
2. Own the product release of purchased parts in the project team
3. Identify gaps between required and available supplier capability and manage the risk with the supplier during the project
4. Identify high risk and critical to quality suppliers and establish quality control approaches with relevant suppliers assuring quality throughout the product life cycle
5. Review SOP with supplier to sure low risk in process
6. Handover of supplier quality control plan to Quality Inspectors and Quality Manager of supplier at Mass production Release (handshake process)
7. Support the execution of Project Book / Quality Agreements with suppliers
8. Participate in Supplier Assessments and Supplier Certification process
9. Execute supplier capability audits (lead the audit team), and follow up supplier's continue improvement on the capability
10. Represents Quality in all Design and Safety Reviews ensuring compliance to all product specifications, testing, and FMEA requirements.
11.Ensure that all pre-launch inspections, audits and testing are completed timely and results are communicated and acted upon accordingly.

Qualifications/ Capabilities:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 4-6 yrs of relevant experience such as Manufacturing Process Engineer
2. Understand quality management system ISO 9000:2000 (or equivalent) requirements
3. Good understanding of statistical methods, quality tools and methodologies (QA 7 Tools, MSA, PPAP, QFD, CtQ breakdown, DfSS, SPC, AQP, FMEA, Control Plan)
4. Detect business risks, be persistent in follow up and escalate appropriately
5. Six Sigma GB/ BB certification preferred
6. Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
7. Impartial, highly motivated, action oriented, persistent towards accomplishing tasks and drives for success
8. Ability to communicate well, oral and written, in English and Mandarin
9. Sense of urgency
10. Cross functional skills and awareness of business requirements
11. Is accurate and delivers quality work
12. Auditing Skills preferred to possess Lead Auditor certification
13. Cost sensitive
14. Experience with manufacturing processes (i.e.: plastic molding, aerosol and liquid packaging, assembly, etc.)
15. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent)
16. Experience with supplier certification programs and plant audits.
17. Good, self-motivated project management and time management skills
18. Product testing or mechanical laboratory experience
