Job Description:

• The main duties of the Test Analyst are as follows:

  • Create test cases as per requirement of the project and perform the test cases as per test plan, raise issues to respective application team and perform retest of the fixes/resolution and update the issues log for future reference;

  • Ensure end to end test coverage (holistic view across all integrating systems) with the alignment on the business and data flows of the whole programme;

  • Perform systems integration, regression, health checks, pre-UAT and other types of testing;

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of the software testing strategies and plans;

  • Liaise with IT Application Development, Product Support teams and vendors to resolve technical issues during testing;

  • Participate in peer review of software development cycle deliverables;

  • Assist in coordination of the activities in the test automation like design, development and execution of reusable and maintainable automated scripts using available tools;

  • Consolidate and maintain the test artifacts of all testing related activities in Test Library, leverage JIRA or Confluence;

  • Prepare and submit reports on work progress on a regular basis.

• With a view of maintaining a good level of support, the Test Analyst would be expected to be heavily involved in the Triage Meetings to attend to user support queries and participate in the prioritization, diagnosis and resolution of support issues.

• Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science or any IT related degree.

• Experience:

  • 3-5  years of software testing experience including:

    • Quality assurance experience in a structured testing environment;

    • Proficiency in software testing techniques in test strategy, test plan and test case creation including traceability, testing tools, incident/defect tracking systems and other test support tools;

    • Domain Knowledge: Finance, Banking, Post-Trade, Risk Management applications

    • Knowledge in Data Warehouse and ETL, solid understanding of SQL.

  • Desired Skills

    • ISTQB certification or equivalent

• Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in English.

  • Possession of excellent organization skills.

  • Ability to be a team player and drive collaborative efforts to improve process.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressured environment and work independently and as a part of the team.
